Narelle is a multi award-winning artist with a Bachelor of Arts and a background in education. As a visual artist, she is inspired by light and movement in nature and loves expressing these qualities through an abundance of texture, light, shade and reflection. She enjoys portraying these features, whilst manipulating the perspectives of detail and obscurity, by blending and layering colours with glaze in an abstract style.

“Sometimes the paint needs to portray the translucency of an oil, at others; it may bleed like a water colour to show the interaction between substances.”

She views her artworks as investment pieces. The complex layering of techniques and the ambiguous nature of her subjects will lead to years of viewing pleasure.

Narelle has six solo exhibitions to her name and is involved in group exhibitions extensively throughout WA and Melbourne. Her work is represented in Robert Juniper’s private collection along with others including corporate collectors throughout Australia. She has been accepted as a member of the Perth Society of Artists and views painting as her life-long dream career.
